Sergei Smolovich born in USSR in August 24,1953
At his 12th he paint with Oil, and took his first images with 6X9 film camera at his 10. His childhood surrounded with forest on the left bank of Volga, and birds and animals.
In 1968, he entered in Teachers Art College and finishes it in ‘73. At that time he have got his first SLR camera and 8-mm film compact camera. AlL film development and printing he doing at home. . Black & White photography was his favorite, and he filming on 8mm,16 and 35mm B&W film.

Sergei enthusiastically engaged in photography and video shooting in the period of study in Togliatti Art Teachers College. In the years 1969-73 he was filming under the guidance of an experienced cameraman in the film -studio KGS, on the construction of the VAZ. Intended to come to VGIK, the Department of cameramen, but gradually involved in painting in 1983, Sergei moved to study at one of the best art schools in the country - Penza Art College named after KA Savitsky.
For many years, photography and film have been forgotten....

In 1991 Sergey moved to the United States, engaged in painting, and participated in exhibitions and in 1993 opened a private art school. His students show us the high level of literacy and art talent. The results of this work can be found in Fine Art section of this site...
